Description
Fluorocarbon leader material gives you the advantage of near-invisibility underwater while maintaining superior knot strength and abrasion resistance where your line meets the lure or fly. The 25-pound test works well for medium saltwater presentations, inshore tarpon and permit, or freshwater applications where you need a reliable leader that won’t spook cautious fish. You’ll tie this directly to your main line using a Surgeon’s knot or similar connection, and the 25-yard spool gives you enough material for multiple leader setups without excess waste. Seaguar’s fluorocarbon formula sinks at the same rate as water, so it doesn’t create the shadow line that monofilament leader can produce.
