This is the first season that I have been using Cuddeback’s newest addition to it’s line of high quality trail cameras, the Capture IR. I put my first set of cameras out in the middle of May thinking that it would take me some time to get used to the camera and to work out any of the bugs. After the initial warm up period, I can honestly say that this is the easiest camera I have ever used. This is saying alot from a self diagnosed trail camera addict!
The plans were finalized for my first late season mule deer hunt in Idaho. My gear was ready, my shooting was spot on, and my body was in excellent shape. I had one slight problem though. While I had footwear to cover most conditions, footwear required for a 5 day mountain hunt in November I did not, and I only had a week to go!! Cheap boots would not do on this trip, and all my research was pointing towards a great boot company from Montana. Kenetrek boots were my choice, and what a great choice that was!
I have been running my Cuddeback cameras hard now since May15th. This is the first year that I have used the IR’s and I have nothing but good things to say. The biggest surprise is the quality of pictures and the amount of battery life compared to other cameras I have used. Back 40 will be running a full gear review of the new Cuddeback IR cameras soon. Please stay tuned…
